Guest Responsibility
- The person making and signing the booking accepts full responsibility, in their personal capacity, for any loss, damage, or breakages caused to the property or its contents during the stay.
- The signing guest must ensure that all members of their party are informed of and comply with these
Terms and Conditions.
- Only guests listed on the booking are permitted to occupy the property.
- The maximum occupancy must not exceed the number stated in the reservation. Failure to comply may result in immediate eviction without refund.
- The responsible booking guest must be present at check-in; entry may be refused if this requirement is not met.
- All guests must present a valid ID or passport upon check-in.
Property Use and Conduct
- Misconduct includes, but is not limited to: excessive noise, loud music at any time, overcrowding, parties, commercial use of the property, or any behaviour deemed inappropriate by management.
- Any breach of conduct may result in immediate eviction of all guests without refund.
- Guests remain fully liable for any damages, losses, or fines incurred due to misconduct. These charges will be communicated by the host and must be settled with Home Meets Hotel within 7 business days.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited inside all apartments.
- Alcohol consumption is not permitted in any common areas.
Important Information
- A starter pack is provided on arrival, including tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bottled water, basic cleaning supplies, and bathroom amenities. These items are not replenished during the stay.
- Electricity is supplied via prepaid meters; excessive usage is the guest’s responsibility.
- Load shedding may occur, and Home Meets Hotel cannot be held liable for interruptions or system failures.
- Each guest is provided with a fitted sheet, duvet, bath towel, and hand towel.
- Guests must use their own login details for streaming services such as DSTV, Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc., as units are not pre-loaded with accounts.
- The accommodation is self-catering and not serviced during the stay. Additional cleaning or linen changes can be arranged directly with the host.
- For stays longer than 7 nights, one complimentary weekly linen change is included.
- The cleaning fee covers departure cleaning only. Guests are expected to leave the property neat and tidy.
- Furnishings, décor, kitchen equipment, and fittings remain at the discretion of the property owner.
- Guests may not remove, relocate, or share any property items with non-registered occupants.
- Outdoor furniture may need to be moved indoors during strong winds. Wind conditions may also occasionally result in noise or odours in certain units.
- Some apartments are located near restaurants and bars; noise may occasionally be experienced. Any issues should be reported on the day of arrival.
- Late check-ins after 19:00 incur an additional fee of R500.
- Airport transfers can be arranged at an additional cost.
International plug adapters are not provided.
- Home Meets Hotel is not responsible for renovations, maintenance, or noise in neighbouring units or surrounding properties.
Safety and Indemnity
- Guests use all facilities at their own risk.
- Home Meets Hotel, its owners, employees, and agents accept no liability for injury, loss, or damage to persons or property.
- Guests waive any claims against Home Meets Hotel and associated parties arising from any incident, including negligence.
- The property is not child-friendly and is not suitable for children under 12 years of age.
- Guests who choose to bring children do so entirely at their own risk and responsibility.
- The property includes features such as balconies, open staircases, and swimming pools. Children must be supervised at all times.
- No child safety equipment is provided unless explicitly stated.
- Home Meets Hotel accepts no liability for accidents, injuries, or incidents involving children or any other persons.
Indemnity
- Home Meets Hotel, and the property owner accept no liability for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings or injury to any person, for any reason whatsoever.
- Guests are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel and medical insurance prior to arrival.
