Description

Dwarsberg Trout Hideaway is a scenic retreat located in Rawsonville along the R444, nestled among mountains, vineyards, and wine farms. It offers a peaceful escape ideal for campers, mountain bikers, trail runners, 4x4 enthusiasts, birdwatchers, and fly-fishermen. Accommodation options include 3 pod houses, 4 self-catering chalets, 11 campsites, and 3 4x4 mountain campsites, all set along the banks of the Holsloot River.

The pod houses each feature 2 en-suite bedrooms and an open-plan living area with a kitchen and lounge. The self-catering chalets accommodate 4–7 guests with double and single beds, private bathrooms, and fully-equipped kitchens. Some chalets are positioned near the river, while others are nestled close to the orchards, with indoor and outdoor braai facilities available.

Campsites at the property overlook the Holsloot River and are exclusively reserved for each group, hosting 15–20 guests per site. Ablution facilities with warm water are provided, and selected sites include electricity. The 4x4 mountain campsites feature private wood-fired hot tubs and private ablution facilities, with access requiring a 4x4 or a ground-level clearance vehicle.

Guests can enjoy the communal lounge with a big-screen TV and DStv, swim in the crystal-clear river pool, or participate in hiking, mountain biking, and trout fishing at an additional cost. Wine tasting and cellar tours at the nearby Daschbosch Wine Cellar can also be arranged on request, making Dwarsberg Trout Hideaway a perfect destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.
