Escape and unwind at Brittlewood, a tranquil retreat nestled on 6 hectares. Great @ Brittlewood is located in Underberg, a town within a dairy and cattle farming community in the Mzimkhulu River valley of KwaZulu-Natal. It is situated at the foot of Hlogoma Peak in the foothills of the southern Drakensberg.
The home comprises 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom, accommodating 4 guests. The bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed and the en-suite bathroom is fitted with both a bath and a shower. There is also a double sleeper couch in the living area.
The open-plan living space features a dining area and a lounge with comfortable seating and a TV. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, gas stove, kettle, toaster and microwave.
There is a lovely verandah to relax on, as well as a partly cordoned-off braai and picnic area. The property offers sweeping river views, abundant birdlife and a tranquil 2 km network of gently winding paths. These scenic trails link a selection of viewpoints, decks and picnic spots, all leading down to the water’s edge.
The property is ideally situated for those wanting to take part in various local sporting events such as the Drak Challenge, Sani2C and UTD. Free Wi-Fi and secure parking are available.
A wide range of activities can be enjoyed nearby, including horse riding, tubing, trail running, mountain biking, visits to ancient Bushman rock art sites and hikes suited to all fitness levels.
