Blombos Self-catering House is a private, free-standing farmhouse retreat situated near the foot of the mountain on Groeneweide Farm near Gansbaai. Surrounded by fynbos, mountain views and a tranquil dam with distant sea views, this secluded home offers exceptional privacy and space in nature.
The house accommodates up to 4 guests in two en-suite bedrooms. The main bedroom features both a bath and shower, while the second bedroom has a shower. The spacious open-plan living area includes a fireplace and flows into a fully equipped kitchen designed for comfortable self-catering.
The protected braai area overlooks the mountain and natural landscape on one side and the dam with distant ocean views on the other, creating a peaceful outdoor setting.
Guests are welcome to enjoy breakfast or lunch at the farm restaurant and make use of the children’s play area on the property.
Please note that the vegetation directly surrounding Blombos was significantly affected by the January 2026 fire and is currently in natural regeneration. Guests will experience an open, recovering fynbos landscape during this period. The house and its immediate lawn and outdoor living areas remain intact, green and comfortable for your stay. This natural regeneration is part of the fynbos life cycle and contributes to the evolving beauty of the coastal landscape.

Nearby activities include shark cage diving, whale watching, swimming, fishing, cycling, and hiking, offering the ideal balance of relaxation and adventure.
