Description

Hermanus River Farm Campsite is a newly established destination as of January 2026, located just over an hour’s drive from Cape Town. It is the perfect retreat for guests seeking a relaxing getaway in nature.

The property offers 5 camp sites, each accommodating up to 6 guests. Campers have access to braai facilities, as well as a communal kitchen and ablution facilities.

The farm is ideal for walking, swimming, cycling, relaxing, berry picking, and exploring the Overstrand. A 2 km walk leads to the lagoon in one direction and a spectacular waterfall in the other. A small convenience store is open daily, and berry picking can be arranged.

Located along the Hermanus River, the campsite is surrounded by a newly planted hillside and grazing lands, where guests can often watch the farm’s cattle. The farm produces honey, grass-fed beef, berries, and plants, with Rosoberry Nursery offering a variety of berry plants (harvests typically run from September to April).

Kleinmond and Botrivier are 10 km away, and Hermanus and Betty’s Bay are 20 km away, making the farm an ideal base to explore the Overstrand.
