Description
Heron's Haven is a comfortably furnished self-catering house for 5 guests situated on the banks of the Berg River in Port Owen.
Heron's Haven is located on the street-level floor above the owner’s apartment below. The unit features 2 bedrooms. The main bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower and toilet. The second bedroom has 2 single beds. The main bathroom is fitted with a shower, bath, and toilet. There is also a single bed in the communal living area. The spacious lounge and dining area offer views over the water. The kitchen has recently been renovated, includes a dishwasher, and is fully equipped. Adjacent to the living area is a built-in braai. Guests have full access to the front garden and jetty, as well as the use of a paddle ski.
Guests with boats can moor directly in front of the house and may launch their boats free of charge at the marina slipway.
Linen and towels are provided, but swimming towels are not included. There are several laundromats in town.
The kitchen is equipped with a stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, cutlery and crockery, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities. Cleaning equipment is also provided. There is a Smart TV in the lounge, and WiFi is available.
The unit leads onto a patio with a built-in braai. Chairs and a folding table are available on the balcony and in the front garden area below. Secure, well-lit parking is available behind a locked gate. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed.
Heron's Haven has direct access to the river and is not safe for small children. Guests may swim in the canal but should be aware of boats using the waterway. Guests also have access to the jetty should they wish to use their own boat.
The beach is approximately 3 km away.
Please note that the unit is situated in a peaceful nature area; therefore, loud music and noisy parties are not permitted. Other guests are welcome to visit if arranged in advance with the owner.
