Huisie op die Heuwel is a unique self-catering cottage located on a hill among the rolling koppies of the Klein Karoo, offering breathtaking views over surrounding farms, mountains, and natural bushveld. Large windows throughout the home allow the landscape to become part of the living experience, creating a peaceful and tranquil escape for guests seeking a quiet retreat.
The house accommodates up to 6 guests and comprises 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The first bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed and features an en-suite bathroom fitted with a toilet. The second bedroom contains a king-size bed, while a double sleeper couch in the living area provides additional sleeping space. The second bathroom is fitted with a shower and toilet. Linen and bath towels are provided.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge-freezer, gas stove, kettle, air fryer, and all essential utensils for self-catering stays. The open-plan living area includes a large dining table that can seat up to 12 guests, making it ideal for small conferences, meetings, or shared group meals. Free WiFi is available, and secure parking is provided for guests.
Outside, guests can explore walking trails and discover the unique Klein Karoo vegetation and succulents. The property also features an outdoor braai area and two small splash pools on either side of the house, one of which can be heated using a wood-fired stove for added comfort. The home is powered by its own borehole, solar energy, and battery system, making it an ideal off-the-grid escape.
