Breakage Deposit

A refundable breakage deposit of R1000 is payable directly to the property.

House Rules

Pets are allowed, however, arrangements must be made with the host in advance.

No fires are permitted except in designated braai facilities or indoor fireplaces. Fires may not be left unattended.
No fires are allowed on the beach and fireworks are strictly prohibited in the area.
When using the braai, guests must be mindful of the wind and must not throw hot coals or ash into the veld or bushes.
Fireplaces and braai areas must be cleaned before departure (charges apply if not followed).

All rubbish must be placed in black bags and put inside the green bin provided, kept safely out of reach of baboons.
Black bags may not be left in the street or outside overnight.
All rubbish must be removed on departure and placed in the dedicated rubbish trailer (charges apply if not followed).
No rubbish bags may be left at the shop area.

Doors and windows may not be left open when the house is unattended unless baboon protectors are fitted.
Any damage caused by baboons due to negligence will be the tenant’s responsibility.
Cleaning or replacement charges will apply where necessary.
The area has Chacma Baboons that visit frequently; guests must keep doors and windows closed when not in the house.

Only toilet paper may be flushed.
Guests will be held responsible for costs if the tank becomes blocked due to non-permitted items.
Any blockage must be reported immediately so arrangements can be made to empty the tank.

Electricity can be topped up by taking the card to the designated pay points (usually the general store during operating hours).
Guests may not tamper with the gas supply—please call the property manager for assistance.

Furniture should not be moved. If it is moved, it must be returned to its original position before departure.

All windows and doors must be properly closed and locked.
The house must be left in a respectable condition.
No dirty dishes may be left; all dishes must be washed and packed away.

Any breakages must be reported or replaced.
No noise is allowed after 23:00; voices carry easily.
Outside lights must be switched off as they disturb neighbours and local wildlife.
