Fantastic off grid experience. Hot but still fantastic.

Fabulous location for privacy. Lovely view from the deck. Most enjoyable stay. We were kept up to date before arrival about the condition of the roads and were received with a warm welcome. Everything you need is provided. Cleanliness is top-notch. Thoroughly enjoyed the tranquility and location. Lovely view across the valley and the outside shower with warm water was a bonus. Our four-legged friend enjoyed it as much as we did.

Relaxing, private stay on a working farm. A beautifully appointed glam tent offering you exquisite views and cute details like an outdoor shower and a hot tub. You will feel like the only people around, although the farm workers are always just a few hundred metres away and their sounds of life (and their animals) will filter up to you, reminding you that this is a working farm after all. This is the ideal getaway venue for as many nights as you can afford; spacious, comfortable and with totally nothing to do but relax. If you must have some adventure, there is a challenging and steep 4x4 trail (rated 4, so not for beginners) which can be hiked for amazing views over the valley. There is a dam to cool off in, and free-range butternut to pick if you're lucky enough to find them. There is adequate WiFi in the tent so you’re never cut off from the world, there is electricity at Oakron and there is good flowing water at all temperatures. There is lots of indigenous bird life all around you (so take along a bird book to ID them all), and no mosquitoes were a bonus.

Amazing. What a beautiful and tranquil place. The hostess was so friendly and accommodating. We even got a special touch and were allowed to go apricot picking. Definitely a gem and will be returning soon.

Romantic and luxurious. We stayed here as part of our honeymoon, and of all the places we visited, this was our favourite! Very romantic - loved the design & decor & luxurious features. We had a wonderful soak in the hot tub under a starry night sky. This location is truly exquisite.

Exceeded our expectations. It was such a pleasure to stay at Oakron. It has everything you need to cook, braai and enjoy yourself. My dog loves it too. The hosts are amazing and very accommodating!
