DO NOT BOOK. Your low expectations will not be met. This was probably the worst travel and stay experience I have ever had. Although the website claims they have verified each accommodation option, my experience suggests otherwise. None of the Papas properties meet the standard for accommodating paying customers. The Papas listing on the website is at best not accurate, and at worst deliberately misleading. Having made my booking, I assumed I was provided with all relevant information, including where I would be staying as well as the location. Not so. The properties look like they are rented out on a short-term basis to entertain adult service providers. It turns out there are at least three properties under this Papas brand – each worse than the other. I had to drive to each of them to find where I would actually be accommodated. None of the staff knew where I was booked to stay, and no one could direct me to the correct location. When I finally arrived at the third location – where I would be accommodated – I had to wait almost an hour to receive a key. I was told that I would get it from the security at the location – the security person was nowhere to be found. After calling both the website and a person they referred us to, the security person appeared, walking in drunk and holding a can of beer. He advised that someone else provide us with the key. During all of this, the owner/operator was not available on the phone. Once we entered the apartment assigned to us, we were met with the smell of stale cigarettes and alcohol. Although I must say they cleaned the place. The bathroom door was broken and would not close. The door handle to the bedroom door was falling apart and in fact came off. The bedding, while clean, was in tatters. We were never expecting 5-star accommodation – not even 2 stars. But what we were met with was something akin to your uncle's backyard room at your grandmother's home. This almost ruined what was a good night for me and my wife. Papas should be delisted from the website.

Disappointed. The place is beautiful, very friendly staff, but I was just disappointed that they did not have water.

It was a beautiful day. The only problem is the reception is next to the rooms and there's a lot of noise, any way it is a good place.

No shower mats when you walk out the shower. You might slip and we had to wait for 1 hour 30min before we can check-in because they had to clean and still pay the full rate while time wasted in the parking lot in a car, bedding was not changed only reversed. No remote for TV, mirrors too high for my height.

The host was extremely nice. Warm welcome. Breakfast was up to the standard. Everything was well organized. The rooms were clean. We were welcomed The host Oupa made sure that we were comfortable. If I come back I'll definitely book with them.
