House Rules

Respectfully leave the house in the same condition that you received it.
No smoking is allowed at the property.
For your own safety, please switch the alarm on when you leave or go to sleep.
Secure parking for 2 cars is available in the garage
For loadshedding, an inverter system for backup electricity was installed to supply lights and some electrical outlets. Please follow the rules on loadshedding.
Please use electricity sparingly. A certain amount of units are supplied for moderate usage, and if guests require more, it will be for the guest's personal account to top up the meter in the garage. Take note that the air conditioners and pool pump use a lot of power and you can save by using them sparingly. The prepaid meter number is on the box. If you need more info, please contact the host.
Use the lighter in the top drawer on the right of the gas stove to light the cooker when power is off.
Press 2 the buttons of the gas stove together if you are having trouble igniting the cooker plates.
Please fasten the hook of the patio door when open.
The sprinklers will water the garden automatically early in the morning. Please take care not to slip on the wet tiles on the patio.
Fireplace: Please use the fire blanket supplied to protect the carpet when making a fire inside, and move the furniture away from direct heat.
If you make a fire to braai outside, please close the fireplace vent inside.
The wooden wall outside is for decoration only. Please buy your own wood.
Please don't put hot cookware on the kitchen counters or tables.
Cleaning once a week on a Thursday is included in your stay. Dorcas will come at 8h00. The gardener, Patrick, will come on a Thursday to tidy the garden. He will also arrive at 8h00. Please allow them to enter the premises to clean.
Dorcas is only there for general cleaning and changing of linen and towels. Your personal washing and ironing are not included.
Fridays are bin day. The bin truck will come from 7h30 to collect the garbage. Please leave the black bin outside with your garbage and bring it inside when the bin is empty.
Kindly manage noise levels, i.e. loud gatherings, in consideration of the neighbours, especially outside.
A water cooler is available with clean water. To refill, you will find a sticker on the bottle of the supplier that you can use at the West Coast Village Mall close by.
The pool pump will switch on for a few hours with a timer. If you switch it on to enjoy the fountains, please remember to switch it off after use.
