House Rules

Prepaid electricity meters are provided for the guest's account.

Please note there are Chacma baboons in the area and guests are warned that they roam freely in our conservation area. They are wild animals so please don't feed them and keep windows and doors closed when you are not there.
House Rules
Fires:
• NO FIRES except in the braai facilities or fireplaces and do not leave any fire unattended.
• No fires on the beach and NO FIREWORKS are allowed in the area.
• When making a braai, be aware of the wind and do not throw hot coals or ash in the veld/bushes.
• Please clean the fireplace and braai before you leave (charges apply if not adhered to)

Rubbish:
• All rubbish must be put in black bags in the green bin if provided. (out of reach of the baboons).
• DO NOT leave black bags in the street or outside overnight.
• All rubbish must be removed on departure and placed in the dedicated rubbish trailer (charges apply if not adhered to)
• DO NOT leave any rubbish bags at the shop area.

Baboons:
• No windows or doors are to be left open unattended, unless there are proper baboons protectors fitted.
• DAMAGE caused by baboons due to negligence will be the responsibility of the tenant.
• Charges will apply where necessary for cleaning or replacement of items broken or soiled.

Septic Tanks:
• Nothing else but toilet paper is to be flushed down the toilets.
• Should the tank be blocked due to non-permitted items, you will be held responsible for the cost of unblocking.
• Contact us immediately when blocked so we can arrange to empty.

Electricity & Gas:
• Electricity can be topped up by taking the card to the dedicated pay points (normally the general store during shop hours).
• DO NOT TAMPER WITH GAS – call us!

Furniture:
• Please do not move furniture around, if you do, please replace as found.

When leaving:
• Please ensure that all windows and doors are properly closed and locked.
• Leave the house in a respectable condition.
• No dirty dishes please clean and pack away.

Damage , Noise & Lights
• Should anything be broken, please report it or replace it.
• Please do not make any noise after 11pm. Voices carry, remember!
• Please switch outside lights off. It disturbs neighbours & the nightlife.
