Voorwaar 'n avontuur gewees.

Baie lekker, rustig en die swembad was heerlik om af te koel. Baie diere en voëls gesien. WiFi was nie beskikbaar in die tondawels nie, en die kroeg het slegs 4 drankies gehad. Die plek kort 'n goeie opknapping.

In general it was a pleasant stay with a few improvements that could be made.

As self-catering accommodation, it is important to provide a fridge. There is a unit in the self-catering shared kitchen but that is a freezer. We did raise an issue with management that would need to be addressed as well. Some seating outside the units directly would be a great addition. The cleaning staff were wonderful and helpful but for the size of the establishment, they are a little understaffed.

Away from the maddening crowds.

Wonderful welcome from Andre the manager. As we had travelled from flood-ravaged KZN made our party of five toasted sandwiches even though they only serve breakfast. The bar was well stocked and the pool and lounger were clean and well maintained. Apart from the torrential rain, we had a blast.

Nice, but not what we expected.

Andre, the manager and the team are helpful where they can be. Unfortunately, there are no coffee stations in the rooms. The self-catering room has a kettle and 2 plate stovetop with a toaster. Our room also did not have mosquito nets, which is advertised. There are nice walks you can do on the property and they have a variety of deer and birdlife that you can see during your stay. Was overall a good holiday, I think they just need to iron out a few days to day things.

Beeldskone natuur, lekker kuier en goeie diens.

Dit was waarlik 'n wonderlike plek om te bly vir die week en ons sal graag weer daarna toe teruggaan. Andre en Sikhele is great gashere en het regtig agteroor gebuig om ons te help met wat ons nodig gehad het. En die swembad ─ lekker man, lekker!

Baie swak.

Hulle het nie eers 'n ketel in kamers nie, hulle het 'n deel selfsorgkombuis met niks in, die gratis WiFi is slegs vir WhatsApps, mens kan niks anders Google nie. En bo als is daar absoluut niks sein op die plek nie. Was bitter baie swak. Geen plek om te eet by die lodge self nie.

Teleurstellend.

Plek is verwaarloos oor die algemeen, Madela hut kort beslis opknapping, blinders van goedkoopste gehalte en rafel uit, plek kort beslis nuwe verf, houtdeur by badkamer opgevreet deur termiete of miere, trappe om uit te gaan na braai area bestaan uit sementblokke, lyk beslis nie mooi, braairooster was nie skoongemaak, geen tweepunt plugs vir kamerlampies, messe en vurke was vuil en nie volledig, kombuis gereedskap kan meer volledig wees, bv. geen blik oopmaker, geen voorsiening vir stoele om om braai te sit.

Dirty and not within Covid regulations.

On arrival we entered a dirty unit that was not cleaned after the previous visitors left. Fridge was dirty inside and glasses full of dust. I had to go and buy my own cleaning stuff to disinfect and clean the house. Shower glass was dirty and floor full of sand. This unit did not comply to any COVID-19 regulations. We only had room service come in about 3 times the whole 8 days. The shower doors kept falling apart. Bathroom and living room /kitchen lights did not work. Spiderwebs everywhere. Jacob however was very nice and made the stay a bit beter. There's also no wifi in the room as mentioned in the ad and one of the pictures with a beautiful mountain view picnic is false advertisement. Overall 2/5 for me.

Sorry to hear about your experience at our camp.

We have alerted the manager and will make sure we process this review and work harder to make our guests experiences better in the future.

We do our upmost to comply with the covid-19 guidelines.

We are a bush camp and dust, sand and creatures such as lizards, spiders, insects and geckos do frequent the rooms easily through open windows and this makes it almost impossible to keep clean 24/7.

Your unit was definitely cleaned before you arrived. We fog our rooms between guests and spray down all surfaces and floors with sanitizer after guests check out. I have noted this and will make enquirys as to why you believe it was not cleaned or prepared for you.

Cutlery and plates are washed and are left out in cupboards where the natural elements can sometimes get them.

Our Wifi does work all around the camp. There is one private chalet that does not get wifi but this chalet is extremely exclusive and private and away from the camp.

As a bush camp and with the affordable rates we rent out our units for it is impossible to service all the rooms daily. However If a service is asked for we would gladly assist and sevice the rooms more often.

Thank you for this critical review, we are happier with contructive criticism more so than when qe get 10/10 scores. We can learn and know where we can improve on for our total guests satisfaction.
