Description
Red Sands Country Lodge is nestled amongst the Kuruman hills, and is situated just 16 km from Kuruman and 31 km from Kathu, offering an excellent stop-over point for travellers heading to Namibia, the West Coast or the Kgalagadi National Park.
The lodge offers guests a choice of thatched bungalows or chalets that can accommodate between 2 to 4 people. The air-conditioned units are furnished with comfortable beds, and have en-suite bathrooms with showers or baths, or a combination of both.
Each of the units also has a small kitchenette that is equipped with a small fridge, as well as tea-and-coffee-making facilities. All the units are equipped with TVs with selected DStv channels, and some open onto a terrace with private braai facilities. The chalets and rondavels have lovely views of the lodge and hills.
The lovely lodge offers a thatched reception, pool bar, a wedding hall, conference facilities, and a renowned continental a-la-carte restaurant that serves some of the best food in the area. Guests can cool down in the swimming pool on those hot Kalahari summer days.
Red Sands is situated in on an 1800 ha private nature reserve with 17 different game species, and over 50 different species already identified on the property. Guests are welcome to explore the reserve with their own vehicle or discover our bush trails on foot or by mountain bike.
