Uitstekend, vriendelik. Baie lekker, dankie. Eienaar is uitstekend en baie vriendelik en het uit hul pad gegaan om dit nog lekkerder vir ons te maak. Baie dankie vir die sjampanje, muffins, jogurt, koekies, en al die ander lekker goed; dit was baie lekker.

Die naweek was gereël vir 'n honeymoon couple! Dit was 'n groot plesier! Hoop ons sien julle weer!

Just too small and no kitchen at all. The hostess went beyond herself. She loves her place and had certain very special touches (coffee, cookies, etc). But I have a huge issue with this unit: 1) it's advertised as self-catering (braai especially) but doesn't have a kitchen. The bar fridge plus microwave and all kitchen goodies are in a cupboard, on top of each other. This cupboard is in the lounge. The kitchen basin is in a plastic dish. No running water, no area to work on, no rubbish bin, nowhere to clean your glasses/dishes. Once you open the cupboard door, where do you put the plates to cut a tomato up on? It has no surface to use. It would be perfect if it was not self-catering and you could use a restaurant. 2) It has very narrow and steep steps up to the bedroom. I am not even 5 foot tall and hit my head (sore). Once you are upstairs, you hope and pray you don't need the loo, and when you are downstairs, you avoid ever going up unless it's to sleep. 3) The unit is just too tiny to be pleasant. Going upstairs to the bedroom, the bed fits into 3 sides of the room; you stump your toe just getting up the stairs to reach the bed (the area between the bed and top of stairs is that small). You can't carry your clothes upstairs as the steps are too narrow and too steep. You have to hold tight onto the rail to get up and down (crouching so you don't hit your head). The linen was great. It's just far too small to be pleasant. Maybe remove the cupboard and have open shelves here instead.

Thanks for the positive feedback. Issues mentioned will be addressed as far as possible. When asked, they said they didn't look at the photos and info on LekkeSlaap. We said "especially braai", because there is only a microwave and small fridge available in the unit, but there are three different braai areas available for the unit. One on the stoep of the unit, one at the river, and one covered under a roof. I sent an email to inform about the steep steps. The email also included info about the location of the trash bin, the clean drinkable running water, complex swimming pool, tennis court, fishing in the Vaal River, and safe walking space on the Estate. I also included a to-do list about the Parys area. It is not true that there is no water. At the braai underneath, there is a basin for cleaning dishes, a big table, and lots of space to prepare food, and a wine and dine area to relax and enjoy the river view. It is a small unit as indicated and therefore affordable.
