Beautiful stay, very friendly hosts. Lovely cottage, beautiful surroundings, stunning pool, and large kitchen area. The bathroom was beautiful with a stunning bath. There was also Netflix on the TV, which was a plus. Unfortunately, it was summer, so we couldn't make use of the beautiful fireplace, but there was also air conditioning. Beautiful setting. Amazing cottage, so comfortable with everything we needed. Would have loved to stay another night to get the full experience of the farm and surroundings. The homestead that calls you back. San Gabriel Homestead was almost a pleasant surprise during our recent visit to Stellenbosch. The location of the homestead is comfortably close to the main road between Stellenbosch and Somerset West, although you are completely unaware of it when you first arrive on the farm, because you only see the Helderberg and the field around the foothills.
