Loved our cozy cottage stay surrounded by breathtaking views and nature. Schoonspruit Falls is a sanctuary where body, mind, and soul can truly rest, breathe, and rejuvenate. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the charming cottage, situated just 10 metres from the expansive trout dam. Despite the cool, rainy weather, the fireplace created a cozy and inviting atmosphere that made our time indoors just as memorable. The tranquility of the surroundings, the breathtaking waterfall (be sure to ask for a guided walk to the base of the falls), the abundance of birdlife, and the sweeping views all left a lasting impression on us. The host is exceptional whose warmth and attention to detail transform any visit to Schoonspruit Falls into a genuine 5-star experience. For those seeking adventure, be sure to book the Wathaba Trail (available in 4 km or 10 km options) in advance. Located just 10 km away, these trails are absolutely breathtaking—weather permitting, of course. Trust me, you’ll thank me later!

Beste Wegbreek binne 3 ure van Pretoria. Ek, my vrou en ons 3 maande oue seuntjie het ongelooflik lekker gebly. Dit is waarlik een van die beste plekke wat ons al ooit gevind het. Kannie wag om terug te gaan nie! Willem is 'n absolute yster. Hy het ons baie mooi verwelkom en was ongelooflik behulpsaam. Die dam is pragtig met ongelooflike dierelewe reg rondom mense. Wat 'n belewenis.

A true gem in nature. It was so tranquil next to the dam with a great view. The place was spotless with everything we needed. We loved the hike to the waterfall. Willem was a great host.

Peaceful, tranquil, beautiful and a great place for a getaway. We visited Schoonspruit Falls with a group of four families and young kids and had the most wonderful weekend. The house is wonderfully spacious yet cosy, the vista and view across the dam are beautiful and there is so much to do for the kids like hikes to the falls, swimming, fishing and a huge grass expanse for games and fun! The host and the staff are also fantastic and make your life so easy. We will most certainly be back.

Will definitely do another weekend. Very nice place for a weekend break away. Willem is very friendly and helpful. Thank you for all the assistance. The dam is properly stocked with trout.

Beautiful views and lovely accommodation. The location of the cottage is amazing with beautiful views, right on the edge of the water. The cottage is very comfortable with everything you need provided. I received a very warm welcome from the staff and was very well informed by the owner who provided detailed and clear information. I was overnighting on a work trip but certainly intend to be back with the family for a long weekend. I fell in love with the whole place and cannot wait to be back.
