Sedge Island House

A peaceful time in the slow town of Sedgefield.

What a fantastic stay at Sedge Island House. We were 7 people and the home felt spacious and welcoming. When we were home (because we were also out and about a lot ), we enjoyed sitting on the porch. The children enjoyed making up games in the large garden. The braai area was adequate, not much space around it, though. A portable folding table to work at while braaiing would be a nice addition. The secure complex is an added plus as the children could cycle around at their heart's content, and there is a beautiful central garden to also enjoy. Walking distance to Swartvlei for lovely morning swims.

Safe, clean and spacious, with everything you may need.

The house is located in a gated community, close to the N2 and within walking distance of the Sedgefield Saturday markets. It is centrally located for visiting other places on the Garden Route. There are many restaurants and shops nearby if you don't feel like cooking. The garden is very big and has more than enough space for our small dog to run around.

Safe, spacious accommodation.

We met up with our adult children, who reside in Cape Town, for an extended weekend. The house had ample space for the five of us, and although there was quite a bit of rain over the weekend, it did not impact our plans. The house is in a safe, enclosed village. We could take our fur babies, which was a huge plus. The house is well-equipped and provided all the comforts we required over our stay. Cathy is warm and welcoming and available to assist with any needs.

Gesellig, skoon, goed toegerus.

Die huis is binne stapafstand van die Saterdagmarkie. Dit is besonder goed toegerus. Ons het heerlik gebly! Nie gedink ons sal die wasmasjien hoef te gebruik nie, en daar moes ons! So lekker as daar ook 'n skottelgoedwasser is. Kan hierdie verblyf aanbeveel. Die huis is in 'n veiligheidskompleks met baie gawe inwoners. Kon lekker gaan stap in die pragtige, goed versorgde tuine.

Fantastic house, spacious, well equipped.

A lovely holiday home, lots of cupboard space, fully equipped kitchen. Beautiful garden, fully fenced so ideal for a dog. Well situated with easy access to the waters edge, shops and N2. Thanks for a lovely stay Cathy.

Rustig, veilig, wonderlik.

Baie dankie aan Cathy vir haar vriendelikheid en pragtige huis. Sedge Island House het werklik gevoel soos "home away from home". Die omgewing is stil en veilig. Die huis sowel as erf was ruim en baie netjies. Ons sal enige tyd weer terugkeer. Ons het werklik gevoel dat ons verblyf elke rand en sent werd was. Sedgefield self is 'n pragtige dorpie met die pragtigste strande. Die see-waters is so lekker! Weereens, baie dankie!

Cathy is a great host. Everything was neat and tidy and ready on arrival. Thank you to Cathy for making our stay home away from home.

Rustig en gemaklik.

Die huis was netjies en skoon en die kamers mooi opgemaak. Ons kon nie vir beter gevra het nie en Cathy is vir seker 'n goeie gasvrou en baie tegemoetkomend. Die huis is ook ten volle toegerus en als in 'n goeie toestand. Ons sal beslis weer hier tuisgaan en dit aanbeveel aan ons vriende en familie.

Ons tyd in die huis was fantasties, asemrowend, veilig en net heerlik!

Cathy se ontvangs was baie goed en ons het dadelik tuis gevoel. Die huis waarin ons tuisgegaan het was baie ruim en het vrye toegang gebied vir my man wat in 'n groot elektriese rolstoel is. Die hoofslaapkamer met badkamer is ook baie ruim vir sy behoeftes. Die geriewe in die huis is voorwaar 'n pluspunt. Almal kon die naweek in gemak deurbring sonder om "onder mekaar se voete" te wees.

Rustig, vreedsaam, veilig en baie gerieflik en netjies.

Uitstekend toegerus, privaat en troeteldiervriendelik! Veilig en vreedsame omgewing. Sal beslis weer besoek.

Fantasties. Dit is 'n baie mooi, ruim en goed ingerigte huis.

Dit is regtig 'n baie nice plek om in te bly. Die huis self en ook die rustigheid van die kompleks.
