We invite you to come visit our little slice of Sanctuary, our very own heaven on earth, for a completely back to mother earth experience, to leave your hectic city life behind and to come re-ground yourself and reconnect to nature and yourself, on our working farm.

The Gaia Sanctuary is for nature lovers, and Eco warriors, set along the banks of the Breede River, with breathtaking views of the Langeberg Mountain Range, and the most magical sunsets you have ever seen. Perfect for romantic weekends away or family getaways.

Our farm is situated in Buffeljagsrivier, Western Cape, a 20 minute drive from the Swellendam town centre, a mere 2 hours from George and 2.5 hours from Cape Town.

Come visit for the day, or choose to stay in our off grid campsite, or our gorgeous and bespoke A-frame cabin, or our boho River cabin, all with river views. We are pet friendly, after all, what would a holiday be without your best friend. The sanctuary offers a range of nature-based activities including peaceful farm walks, birdwatching, kayaking, fishing, and swimming in the river.

🏕️ Glampsite Info
o Our off-grid glampsite & campsite is set along the beautiful Breede River.
o Kitchen Glamp deck with 3-plate gas cooker, sink, bar stools, and braai area
o Communal fire pit and larger braai zone
o Jungle gym and river amenities (rope swing, raft, paddle skis, tubes)

🚿 Ablution Facilities
• Glampsite ablutions:
o Gas-powered hot shower
o Flushing toilet
• Rustic Campsite ablutions:
o Basic compost toilet
o Black pipe solar shower (heats in the sun)

🐾 Pet Policy (if applicable)
• Pet rates: R50/night (glamping) | R30/night (camping)
• Pets must be approved in advance, well-trained, socialised & vaccinated
• No pets on beds – bring their own bedding
• Owners are responsible for cleaning up after pets, please discard all visible poop into the bushes
• Owners are responsible for any damages
• No pets may be brought without prior approval
• Bringing pets implies agreement with full pet policy and waiver of liability
