The Gallery Farm Retreat offers self-catering accommodation located on a working Karoo farm, surrounded by mountain views in Laingsburg, Western Cape, an area well known for its wide-open landscapes, natural beauty, and rural setting. It is ideal for couples looking for a romantic getaway or friends looking for a comfortable farm escape. The cottage is located on the owner’s property with a private entrance.
The cottage comfortably accommodates up to 4 guests and comprises 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Both bedrooms are furnished with double beds. The bathroom is fitted with a bath, shower, washbasin, and toilet. Crisp linen and towels are provided.
The open-plan kitchen is equipped with a stove, oven, toaster, necessary cutlery and crockery, tea-and-coffee-making facilities, microwave, and fridge-freezer, as well as a dining table and 4 chairs. For added convenience, a washing machine is available. The living area is furnished with a comfortable couch for relaxation and seating, as well as an indoor fireplace.
Through the folding doors, guests can step onto the undercover patio furnished with outdoor furniture overlooking the mountains. Guests can make use of the portable braai. Guests also have access to farm roads ideal for walking, hiking, and cycling. Zuikerboschfontein is a working livestock farm, and guests may spot sheep grazing or tractors and daily farming activities, adding to the authentic rural atmosphere while enjoying privacy. Secure on-site parking is available.
