Our stay was amazing! We had such a lovely stay. The name Tranquillity described our stay perfectly. The house was big enough to accommodate all of us.

Very relaxing. We had a great time even though we ended up being ill.

Lovely location and layout, but disappointing communication and missing services. We enjoyed our stay at Tranquility overall, particularly the location and the layout of the house, but unfortunately, there were several issues during our visit that impacted the experience. Firstly, we only received a document outlining further details, additional costs, and arrangements that needed to be made in the week before our booking, despite the reservation having been made well in advance. It was only then that we became aware that DSTV came at an additional charge, although it was listed as part of what the property offers. WiFi was also advertised as included, which was a very important factor for me as I needed to work remotely during the stay. Unfortunately, the WiFi was not available, and after notifying the host, no real effort was made to resolve the issue. During a power outage on the Saturday, my MTN mobile service was also offline for a few hours, making reliable WiFi essential. I ultimately had to drive to a nearby hotel in order to work. There were also a few maintenance-related issues in the house which, while not major on their own, added to the inconvenience. One downstairs bathroom was out of order, several lights were not working, and the downstairs bedroom facing the river only had cold water in the bath. While we still enjoyed aspects of the stay, greater care should be taken to ensure that advertised services are available and that guests are informed of any additional costs or limitations beforehand. Only the breakage deposit was clearly listed upfront, and full transparency regarding all additional costs and service limitations should be made available in the booking details so that guests can make an informed decision before booking the property.

Could have been better. - Towels in bathrooms not winter accommodating as there were only beach towels available to dry your body with. There should be a few single beds and not only double beds. Teenagers don't always want to share beds. Toilet flushing mechanisms not working. Had to use buckets of water to flush the toilets. WiFi was switched on late and was off early the day when we left. No active TV programmes. Hot water from tap too hot. Owner needs to lower the temperature. Some utensils and cookware were dirty. Owner should provide at least one extra blanket per room. Or tell guests that blankets are limited and they need to bring their own.

We always enjoy our stay at Tranquility. It was lovely, thank you. We felt that the additional charge for DStv R50 was a bit much when we paid R10k+ for the weekend. There was no WiFi and no air conditioning. It happened to be a really hot Friday and Saturday. The place is looking a bit tired where small repairs could make an overall difference. There is a lot of light pollution in the vicinity, so thin white curtains don't really block the light. The two upstairs rooms don't have keys, unless they were on the main key bunch. The front upstairs room door doesn't close properly. A small repair could fix that.

It was amazing and beautiful. The stay was amazing, the owner was very helpful and friendly, the house was nice with amazing views. Would definitely go back again.

Tranquility, peaceful, at home and much more. It was amazing and very easy-going access place. Everything was beautifully laid out. We felt right at home and did not want to leave.
