Thank you for your review, to which I have replied in point form below.
I apologise for any inconvenience you may have experienced and trust that the explanations below provide clarity and satisfactory responses.
The booking documentation normally clearly indicates the additional charges applicable for DStv, and this is also highlighted on LekkeSlaap. There are valid reasons for requesting DStv prior to arrival, mainly to identify any faulty or damaged wiring or cabling caused by previous guests. Unfortunately, this was the case during your stay, as there was a fault with the cabling. The repair technician was unavailable over the weekend and could therefore not attend to the issue on Saturday.
You brought to my attention on Saturday morning that the WiFi had not been activated. I followed up immediately and informed you accordingly. I will forward a screenshot from the service provider, including their apology and confirmation that the delay in activation was due to an oversight on their side.
The faulty guest toilet had already been identified and was awaiting the plumber’s attention. It has since been repaired. There are, however, six other toilets in the home available for use. I apologise for the inconvenience.
Thank you for bringing to my attention that some of the light bulbs had fused. I have asked Maria to follow up and keep me informed. Unfortunately, these things can sometimes go unnoticed.
Although we spoke on Saturday, the issue regarding the downstairs bathroom only having cold water was not raised at the time. I have not previously received any complaints regarding this, especially since three of the bathrooms are supplied by the same geyser. It is possible that the issue may have been related to the power outage experienced at the time.
In closing, feedback is always appreciated and can only be addressed if brought to the responsible person’s attention. Thank you for raising these concerns. I would have gladly attended to any or all of them during your stay had I been made aware of them at the time.
