Charming, fun, adventurous, peaceful and very good for the soul. Umshanti, the location, the staff and owners are a true delight. The views are spellbinding and the amenities are great. They have put so much effort into making it the kind of location that draws you back and in greater numbers. My partner and I chose the quaint and idyllic Gypsy cabin and couldn't have been happier if a real Gypsy had come out to read our fortunes. The outdoor shower was transformative and I plan on installing one at home to try to recreate the charm and joy of showering at night under the stars. Although I needed to work during the day and the WiFi at the cabin was weak, the owners immediately told me to work from another of the buildings (Drinkgat, a communal space) which had some of the fastest internet I've ever experienced while working remotely like this, with views that had my colleagues online drooling with jealousy.

Quiet, relaxing and stunning views! A beautiful, peaceful stay in The Chapel. Perfect for a quiet getaway with my husband. The WiFi wasn't working but not a train smash to be wireless for a while. 8.

Romantic unique stay with spectacular views. We stayed in the gypsy cabin, it was unique and beautiful. The views are one of a kind. The hosts were amazing and so friendly. We will definitely be back. If you are booking the gypsy cabin, go with the thought that you are camping but in style.

Superbe lieu au bord du lac. / Superb location by the lake. Lieu idéal pour passer un bon moment autour du braai, plonger une tête dans le lac, dans un cadre naturel superbe.
