Woodlands Retreat, Clarens, is a private property owned by Sherrene and Roy, offering a peaceful getaway for anyone seeking rest and harmony in nature. Nestled in a lush garden among woodland trees and surrounded by Clarens’ iconic sandstone mountains, our cosy luxury suites each feature a mini kitchenette. We are located just a 3-minute gentle drive or a 13-minute walk from central Clarens.

We strive to maintain an eco-friendly, organic environment and are working towards becoming fully self-sufficient and off-grid.

Accommodation consists of 2 elegantly furnished suites, Cosy Caribbean Blue and Cosy Golden Maple. Each suite offers crisp 100% percale cotton linen, hypoallergenic furnishings, heating, and a clean en-suite shower. Complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, fresh milk, and rusks are provided, along with braai facilities. The mini kitchenette includes everything needed for preparing simple meals.

Children are welcome with strict adult supervision. Our cat, Ruby, as well as the chickens, may not be disturbed. Guests are asked to respect the garden and ensure children are supervised when exploring the pathways.

Visitors are invited to enjoy the meandering garden paths, abundant birdlife, butterflies, and views of adventurous abseilers on Flat Top Mountain.

For a more vibrant experience, Clarens’ Main Street is a short stroll away, offering art galleries, restaurants, craft beer, live music, and seasonal activities.

Please note that we live “in the private”, meaning visitors acknowledge their stay as living, breathing men and women, without any fictional titles attached to their names.
