Description
The Cape Town Marathon, officially the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon, is a 42.2?km road race held annually in October, starting and finishing near Green Point Stadium (DHL Stadium). It features a scenic and largely flat course through iconic Cape Town landmarks—such as seaside Sea Point, the historic Company Gardens, and District Six—and is Africa’s only World Athletics Gold Label Road Race, attracting around 21,000 runners including elite and social participants.
