Glenwood High School is a boys’ high school in Glenwood, Durban. The school accommodates learners from Grade 2 to after Matric and has 1200 students. Listed as a Historic School, Glenwood is one of the leading boys’ schools in South Africa. Boarding facilities are available.

HERITAGE

Glenwood High School was founded as the Day Continuation School for Boys by Dr Benjamin Narbeth in 1910 with just 26 students. It formed part of the Durban Technical Institute (now known as Durban University of Technology). In 1923, the school separated from the technical institute and the name was changed to Glenwood High School in 1934. The Government Schools Hostel Durban was opened in the same year.
