Description

Monument Koppie is a hill situated in the centre of Springbok in the Northern Cape. It was taken from the British by Boer forces and honours the Anglo Boer War (1899 – 1902). The rocky remains of the British fort that was exploded by a commando unit led by General Jan Smuts can still be seen, surrounded by Anglo-Boer War monuments.
