Alkantstrand
Description
Alkantstrand is the main swimming beach in Richards Bay, in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa. Alkantstrand which means “both sides†is the northern-most Blue Flag beach in the country. This subtropical beach is open 365 days a year, with lifeguards on duty offering safe bathing in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean all year round. A restaurant and ablution block is available, as well as braai sites and grassy patches for picnics. The beach is wheelchair friendly.
