Small Bay Beach

Description

Small Bay Beach is one of two beaches situated in Bloubergstrand, one of Cape Town’s northern suburbs in the Western Cape. Bloubergstrand is Afrikaans for “blue mountain beach”, which is derived from the nearby Blaauwberg Mountain. Small Bay Beach is located alongside its “big brother” beach, Big Bay Beach, and offers a quieter place to relax, suntan, and enjoy some family fun.

Small Bay is a favourite for surfing, windsurfing, kite-surfing and flying, and swimming. The beach offers an idyllic view of the Table Mountain, along with lawns and braai areas. Please note that this beach can get very windy and is best visited on a calm day.
