"Die dorpsdam (ongeveer 11 km buite die dorp) was mooi om te gaan sien. Die kerkklok lui nog soos in die ou dae op die uur. Die omgewing van Calitzdorp is asemrowend mooi met die berge wat dit omring."

"The town and surrounding areas is perfect for a break away, with loads of attractions that bring you closer to nature. We found some good bargains in some of the local small shops, had a hearty and delicious breakfast at a local restaurant and bought loads of dried fruit at the local dry fruit factory shop/stall. We were always welcomed wherever we went by very friendly locals."
