House Rules
Please do not feed the animals human food, as it can make them sick and alter their natural behaviour.
Enjoy the wildlife quietly and from a safe distance — this is their home too.
Keep noise to a minimum — loud music, shouting, and parties are not allowed.
Drive slowly (maximum 30 km/h) and watch for wildlife — warthogs, kudu, and giraffes frequently cross the roads.
Help keep Marloth clean — no littering.
Treat Hawk’s Nest as your own home — with care and respect.
No smoking indoors. If smoking outside, please use the ashtray and ensure all embers are fully extinguished.
Water and electricity are precious — use both sparingly (short showers, lights off when not needed).
Fires are only allowed in the braai area and must never be left unattended.
Please do not move furniture or décor.
To use the TV: switch on with the Samsung remote, use the arrow to select HDMI (not DSTV Stream), then use the DSTV remote.
Garage is not available — private property. A double carport is available for parking.
Keep doors and windows closed when away — baboons and monkeys are very curious!
Lock up valuables for safety.
Walking at night is not advisable; there are no fences between you and nature.
Do not use flashlights at night — it disturbs the animals.
Please leave the house tidy when you depart. Rubbish can be placed in the bin (cage) at the entrance of the house.
