The getaway was precious and wonderful, in a beautiful house in the countryside. We were a family and each group had their own room and bathroom. Sandra was wonderful and the amount of contact perfect. It was nice to have someone who knew the town nearby. Everything was sparkling clean, the bedding and towels beautiful, the photos were exactly right and the porch a piece of lavender in the late summer afternoon. Just pack a sharp knife. The WiFi saved my daughter when the adults started talking too much.

Comfortable and convenient with good space at the back of the yard for entertaining. The house offers everything you need and the back porch and garden are a pleasure. However, there were three of us with vehicles which meant one had to stay on the street. However, our stay was comfortable and fortunately no incidents regarding security.

Wonderful family retreat. We had a great stay in McGregor and really enjoyed the house. Sandra was exceptionally helpful and friendly, making our stay that much more enjoyable. The cottage was perfect for us, and the living area gave us plenty of cosy time to be together as a family. Our only comment would be that the traffic from the main road was unexpectedly noisy.

Comfortable stay with secure parking. The house is comfortable. We loved the 3 ensuite bathrooms and the games to play. The WiFi setup was super. Neighbour communicated very well and was truly helpful. McGregor is rustic and rather noisy on a Friday evening. Bedside lamps and a less noisy fan in the main bedroom would have been appreciated. Also, some extra toilet rolls and air fresheners. The positives outweigh the negatives.

Most enjoyable. It was wonderful. Had everything you needed for a chilly stay, including an indoor fireplace and a new undercover braai. Perfect for 3 couples. Would definitely go back.

We were a family of six and enjoyed a very happy stay at Away in McGregor. Ry happy weekend. Our stay for 3 nights was very pleasant despite the weather being very cold and wet. With the fireplace, additional blankets, and heaters, we felt very comfortable. The undercover outdoor braai is great, and the indoor cooking facilities could be improved. We were made to feel very welcome by the host, who was available if we needed her for any assistance. Our suggestions to make guests more comfortable with some small items were welcomed.
