Absolutely stunning cottage in a breathtaking valley. Bag End Cottage was a delightful venue to spend our Christmas holiday. The location of the cottage is absolutely stunning and the opportunity to explore the surrounding breathtaking scenery was fully utilised. The fishing was surprisingly good taking into account that the Spekboom River was in flood. Despite that, the water was still very clear. Angus and Jenny were perfect hosts and the few issues we had were resolved immediately. Angus took my kids on a drive around the property out of his own, to show them all the different trails that they could walk. We hardly saw them after that as they hiked everywhere they could possibly reach. Rivendell Trout Estate is a gem in a breathtaking valley where time almost stands still. The lack of cell phone signal and instant connectivity makes it even more attractive.
