Wouldn't recommend this accommodation for a family on holiday. Rather for a business trip. 1. The recreation/entertainment complex. On the website, the recreation area is shown. It's a great selling point if the recreation area was closer to the apartment. The apartment is way at the end/bottom of the estate and the recreation area is at the top/entrance of the estate. Nowhere on the website does it say that if you book the apartment, you will have to drive every time you want to go and swim or cool off. It takes 10 minutes to drive to the top, and if we had to walk, it would take us at least 30 to 40 minutes with no resting from the uphill walk. Durban weather for us from Gauteng is excruciating. So we couldn't even take an early morning walk up to the recreation area, especially not with a small child. The road to the recreation area is uphill all the way, and for elderly people, it is impossible to enjoy a stroll in the complex. We went once to have a look and decided to rather go out to the city and explore. 2. The surroundings and scenery. We were highly disappointed when we arrived and saw that our apartment block is right next to another apartment block with scaffolding and workers busy building the next rows of apartments. This is not something that you want to see every time you sit on the balcony. This should have been communicated to us prior to paying and completing the booking. On this website, it states that the view is beautiful. No, it’s not at all. You get a tiny glimpse of a few green trees when you look out of the main bedroom window and balcony. The rest of the view is just buildings and cars. It's one apartment block on top of another. Everyone can see into the apartment from the other buildings, so we had to keep the blinds closed all day. That was not pleasant. The rest of our stay was pleasant. Clean apartment, linen, and well-equipped kitchen. The host needs to invest in air conditioning, especially in hot weather. We couldn't sleep at all due to the temperature and the apartment being so hot.
