Comfortable and convenient. My husband and daughter stayed the night before the Drakensberg marathon. A very convenient location and great to have a restaurant on site. They enjoyed their stay.

OK for a one night stay. I've been travelling for a couple of months and this is the only review I decided to post. The place is OK for a one night stay and only if it doesn't rain and you don't need Wi-Fi. I stayed for 4 nights and all this time I just felt that I was a hindrance and a source of income rather than a valued guest. I had to ask for a Wi-Fi token and this only lasted 8 hours and even though I was staying for 4 nights, I was only given one at a time; the impression I got was that I wasn't supposed to ask for the service. The Wi-Fi won't even allow you to watch a video in an airline advertisement. WhatsApp was extremely slow and it only works in the restaurant - the rondavel has no Wi-Fi but the TV is very good. The chef is excellent but the prices are a tad high with a discretionary 10% service charge. I'm not sure the staff got any tips because the payment was tightly controlled. There was no footpath to the rondavel and when it rained, I was up to my ankles in extremely slippery mud which also ended in the rondavel. There was also no lighting through the trees to the rondavel so getting there after dark from the restaurant is quite difficult and if you want to back your car out in the dark, the trees are quite formidable, as is the dirt road – a normal car might get stuck. There is no breakfast before 10:00 but they will provide a breakfast box. The restaurant area wasn't open before 09:00 and it closes at 16:00 on Sundays. Please read below about the bathroom position - the photos are a bit misleading. I’m sorry for this review but sometimes, lack of feeling welcome needs to be made known.

Hi, Sorry to hear about your disappointing stay, but we have no control of the weather. We had above-average rain over a short period. WiFi tokens are freely available; you just need to ask. Such a pity that you did not inform us of all your problems, so we could rectify them. Regards Joss

Knus en gezellig. Bingelela is een rustig en gezellig plekje onder de bomen, de mensen zijn vriendelijk en behulpzaam, goed om weer naar terug te gaan.
