Buffalo Drift - Captains Cabin is the ideal getaway destination that offers guests access to their own private beach in Yzerfontein, a coastal village located 88 km from Cape Town. This rustic gem is self-contained and secluded enough to offer a private escape or the chance to have a memorable get-together with family or friends.
This rustic cabin comprises 7 bedrooms and can sleep up to 26 people. There are 4 bedrooms furnished with a double bed and 3 dorm-style bedrooms fitted with bunks, sleeping 8, 6 and 4 people respectively. Each bedroom contains a heater for cold nights. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. There are also 2 guests toilets, off the living area.
The kitchen is fully equipped with 2 full-size fridge-freezers, an under-counter fridge, a gas stove, microwave, kettle, toaster, glassware, cutlery and crockery. The kitchen leads to a living area that also has a bar fridge and a deep freezer to ensure that your drinks are kept cold. The lounge area contains a large indoor braai fireplace. The living area opens to a lovely outdoor braai area with comfortable seating.
Guests can stroll along the private beach or enjoy an evening drink on the patio while watching flamingos fly over the salt pan. Guests can also visit the restaurants or pubs in the area to enjoy some local hospitality. Children will enjoy playing on the dunes, going to the harbour, racing along the mountain biking trail or animal viewing at the lion park.
Please note no speeding is allowed and there is a limit of 30 km per hour to preserve the wildlife and tranquility. Guests are welcome to bring along their pets by prior arrangement.
