Tranquil, surrounded by beautiful Cederberg mountains. If you would like to be in nature, away from a busy schedule, this is a perfect spot.

Lovely relaxing stay away from the maddening crowds. Lovely stay. Cottage is spotless. Maybe a little distance to travel to all the sights, but we enjoyed the quiet. No WiFi, so take your books or games. Made a lovely fire to sit at and look at the stars. Remember to take everything you may need other than, of course, linen and kitchen things. Braai wood, spices, etc. you need to take.

It was a great place to relax - with several activities available close by. Peaceful, quiet and warm.

A slow and nature-filled family getaway. We had a beautiful time at Cederberg Cottages. We absolutely enjoyed being off the grid and just being present in nature. We enjoyed walks in the early morning and evening. There was great excitement to discover we had a resident mouse and there were all kinds of interesting creepy crawlies. The splash pool was an absolute lifesaver in the heat, and we spent our days in the pool and picnicking in the shade of the garden. The air con was a bit tricky and we only had one fan, but we had dips before bedtime to ensure we stayed cool. Maré was a wonderful host and answered all our questions - even when we got a bit lost on a morning hike and when my husband's tyre burst! (And, it's worth mentioning, she had her hands full with fires in the surrounding area, but she was still so attentive.) All around, a fantastic family holiday.

Unacceptable. The interior was an eclectic collection of "hand-me-downs": a dining table with a cracked top, a sagging bed, a "bedsit" couch, and a plastic table with three usable chairs; the fourth was broken. But it was in the detail where the spiral truly trended downward. We found hair from previous guests in the bedroom bin, curtains drooping off their tracks, and a freezer in desperate need of defrosting, still housing the remnants of past visitors. The "blue" of the splash pool had been replaced with stained beige walls. The advertised Wi-Fi had been broken for who knows how long. Chipped enamel mugs for tea or coffee and basic kitchen essentials—salt, pepper, a teapot, and even braai tongs—were nowhere to be found. This experience raises a vital question for platforms like the website. Where does the responsibility lie? Surely, when the digital shopfront no longer reflects the physical product, the platform’s credibility is at stake. I began to wonder how often these listings are vetted. Are reviews audited for authenticity? Will AI, once implemented, play a larger role in analysing guest feedback? I hope these platforms will become more adept at spotting the "downward spiral" of a listing.

Amazing accommodation, would go back when I visit the Cederberg again. Cederberg Cottages is a lovely, homely cottage located 10 minutes off the N7. The cottage is located on a farm, with nearby access to other attractions within the Cederberg. The stay was peaceful, the host was warm and welcoming, and the natural scenery was superb! Also, there is a lovely little pool for cooling down during the summer. Would highly recommend this accommodation if you consider the Cederberg.

Restful and relaxing. Wonderful cabin nestled in the Cederberg mountains, very peaceful and quiet. There are nice places to go for walks on the farm itself and lots of activities a short drive away. The splash pool and private garden area are lovely for hanging out by and the Aircon helped cool the cabin in the warm evenings!
