Baie lekker en goeie waarde vir geld. Ons het baie lekker gebly. Die kamer was baie mooi, skoon en lekker koud toe ons daar instap. Almal was baie vriendelik gewees.

Pragtige, skoon en netjiese hotel. Pragtige, skoon en netjiese hotel met 'n ongelooflike uitsig oor die dam. Die diens by die hotel en restaurant was ook puik. Sal beslis weer daar oorslaap.

Oorslaap op pad terug vanaf Weskaap met klein kinders. Ons het baie lekker gebly by deStijl Gariep Dam. Ons eenheid het 'n baie mooi uitsig gehad van die dam. Sal dit beslis aanbeveel en weer daar oorslaap.

The accommodation itself was pleasant. Holiday Accommodation Feedback The accommodation itself was pleasant and offered good facilities; however, the overall experience was negatively impacted by poor management. Key concerns included: Noise & Disturbance: Excessive noise and disruptive behavior from children in both the restaurant and accommodation areas were not addressed by management (Shaun). Smoking Violations: Guests were smoking in designated non‑smoking areas without intervention (Shaun). Pets on Premises: Dogs were allowed to roam freely throughout the hotel and restaurant, with incidents of defecation on the lawn near dining areas, again without management response (Shaun). Management Oversight: The manager, Shaun, consistently failed to address unacceptable behavior, creating an atmosphere of neglect and lack of accountability. Food Quality: Breakfast quality was poor, with severely overcooked bacon initially served. Although Shaun replaced the dish and apologized, he admitted the first serving was leftover food. Overall Impression: While the accommodation itself was commendable, the management style was ineffective and unresponsive, resulting in an unpleasant and disappointing stay. Stronger enforcement of standards and proactive handling of guest behavior are urgently needed to improve the experience.

Good day Cindie, We highly appreciate your feedback and review regarding your stay with us at De Stijl Gariep hotel, and we certainly have taken it to heart. We apologise for the inconveniences that you have experienced and would honestly just like to give you feedback in this regard if we may: Regarding the loud children, they were playing and swimming - I have spoken to their parents, requesting to tone down the volume to consider the other guests as well, so much so that those parents got angry with me for raising the topic with them. With regards to the dogs, Cindie, we are a dog-friendly hotel, but with restrictions - only guide dogs are allowed inside the main restaurant; however, in the undercover outside restaurant and open-air restaurant area, dogs are allowed to be with their owners. This also applies to the smoking area; no smoking in the main enclosed restaurant area is allowed. I remember assisting you with the crispy bacon - however, please believe me that no leftover food will ever be served to our valued guests. I did, however, say that when it is very busy, the bacon is halfway precooked and then finally cooked to order. When I learned you did not want crispy bacon, I was eager to change it for you. We are striving to improve on a daily basis in all sections of our hotel to really offer you the best quality and service that you deserve. That is why I personally go to our guests' tables each evening to introduce myself and ask all guests to please call on my name to assist with anything they might need. Ek kan deStijl Gariep werklik aanbeveel. Dit is absoluut pragtig daar! Die verblyf was fantasties! Die diens was goed en vriendelik. Die etes in die restaurant was onverbeterlik. Die sonsopkoms vanaf ons balkon was asemrowend! So lekker gebly!
