Description

Dumbe Cottages are situated in Retief Pass, where the Voortrekkers entered Natal, on their trek through the Drakensberg Mountains. The cottages offer intimate and luxurious accommodation, ideally suited for couples with unparalleled views of the majestic mountains.

Accommodation comprises 5 stone cottages, each offering a bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a living room with a dining area. Please note that Unit 1 features a shower only (no bath), while the other units include a bath.

The kitchen is fully equipped with cutlery, crockery, a gas stove, a microwave and a fridge. The living and dining area leads out onto the sundeck, offering breathtaking views of the whole valley.

Dumbe Cottages are situated approximately 280 km from Durban and approximately 300 km from Johannesburg, on the R74 route. The cottages are within walking distance from the Kaalvoet Vrou-Monument. Activities in the area include mountain biking trails, 4x4 routes, bird watching, and hiking.
