Ideal getaway home for a nice family or group of friends. Yes, it was lovely! It was easy to reach from the city, but remote enough for lovely silence. The valley in which the house/farm is located is very beautiful and we were also able to go for a nice walk on the farm with the dogs. Although the house is located right next to a road, it did not bother us (the house faces away from the road, and there is no noise). A lovely stoep (partially covered) for braaiing and sitting outside, with the river flowing nearby. Large and beautiful lawn for kicking a ball, as well as fenced, for the dogs. Covered parking (for 2 cars), and also alarm for the evening. We loved our weekend away at The Shack and will be back. We absolutely loved our weekend getaway at The Shack. It's quaint and has everything we needed. A beautiful view over the dam, frogs croaking, a lovely hot shower, a comfortable bed and the colours of the beautiful autumn oak trees took our breath away. The fresh apples on the table were delicious, sweet and lovely to taste, as this is a working apple farm with vineyards all around The Shack. Daniella was very friendly.

Amazingly beautiful. As if time stood still. Tranquil, peaceful and beautiful. My husband and I celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary at the Coots cottage and just being there made it special. Our host was friendly, kind, and so helpful. Thank you.

Good place to stop. Only one night but very comfortable. Directions from the N2 at Peregrine farm stall weren't that accurate. Per the booking, we were supposed to be in the Lime cottage and found no key in the security box. Then we were told by a staff member that we are actually in the Lemon cottage. If travelling in the area in future, we would like to try one of the cottages where you have to stay for at least 2 nights, e.g. the Coot cottage.

Accommodation was as described on the website. Nice and peaceful stay. Because the house is pet friendly, there was a lot of pet hair all over the floor. This was evidence that the previous people had pets and it wasn't cleaned very well.

Cosy and spacious, very clean, lovely courtyard, very friendly host. 5 stars. Lemon room is a lovely and cosy getaway from home. Very clean and consists of everything one needs for a breakaway. It was exactly what I needed, and I would definitely recommend this room. The host is very friendly and accommodating. Definitely a 5 star rating.
