Groendraai River Cottages is situated on a working farm along the Sterkstroom River, approximately 15 km outside Vaalwater in the Waterberg region. Surrounded by bushveld scenery and natural landscapes, the property offers a peaceful retreat for guests wanting to relax and reconnect with nature.
Accommodation is offered in 4 comfortable self-catering cottages, each accommodating up to 4 guests, as well as Shadowleaf Cottage which accommodates up to 6 guests. Each cottage has comfortable bedrooms and a private bathroom fitted with either a bath and shower or a shower only.
The cottages each have a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge, stove, microwave, and air fryer. Some units also include additional facilities such as a filter coffee machine and dishwasher. The living areas are fitted with air-conditioning and comfortable seating, while each cottage has a private patio with braai facilities. Outdoor wood-fired hot tubs are available at all cottages, offering guests a relaxing space to enjoy the surrounding scenery. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, and Silvercarp and Shadowleaf Cottages include Smart TVs in the lounge.
Guests can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, including catch-and-release fishing in the Mokolo and Sterkstroom Rivers or nearby dams, kayaking, cycling, and hiking. Guests can also experience farm life, seasonal flowers, birdlife, and views of the surrounding bushveld.
