Description
Stargazer is a self-catering, 4-sleeper cottage, ideal for a small family or 2 couples on a weekend getaway. There are 2 bedrooms, 1 with a double bed and 1 with 2 single beds. The beds have good quality firm mattresses and are made up with 100% white cotton linen. Each bed has a hanging canopy mosquito net. The cottage has a bathroom with a shower and toilet, and amenities and towels are provided. Standing fans are available throughout the cottage as well as air-conditioning in the living area. Electric blankets are also put onto the beds during winter. The open-plan kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, a 2-plate gas stove, a kettle for the gas stove, an air fryer, a toaster, and a microwave, as well as a stick blender and SodaStream. In the lounge is a gas fireplace where guests can read a book or play available board games. Free Wi-Fi is available. The ‘farm stoep’ has a built-in braai and outdoor furniture for relaxing. There is also a communal boma area to be shared with guests staying in Sunfish Cottage. The cottage features an outdoor pool tub, where guests can cool off in the private tub while enjoying a drink, the river view and the sounds of the bushveld. The tub is also fitted with a wood-fired heater to enjoy during cool evenings. Additional amenities include covered parking for 1 vehicle, camping chairs, and available board games for the family. A camping cot and booster chair, gazebo, and swing ball set and giant outdoor wooden games are available on request in advance. There are 3 kayaks and 2 mountain bikes to rent for a small daily fee. Guests must stock up on food, fresh produce and drinks before arriving. Firewood can be purchased on-site.

The second room gets closed up to make it a spacious weekend for you and your significant other with a booking for 2. There are 2 bedrooms with a king-size bed in each. These can be converted to 4 single beds on request. The beds have good quality firm mattresses and are made up of 100% white cotton linen. There are 2 en-suite bathrooms, one with a bath and shower and the other with a shower only. Amenities and towels are provided. Ceiling and standing fans are available throughout the cottage as well as air-conditioning in the living area. Electric blankets are also put onto the beds during winter. Enjoy relaxing in the lounge area with a gas fireplace and a TV with selected DStv channels and Netflix. Free Wi-Fi is also available. The open-plan kitchen is equipped with a gas stove and oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster, as well as a Nespresso coffee machine, stick blender and Sodastream. On the ‘farm stoep’ is a built-in braai and outdoor furniture to relax on. There is also a boma braai pot with seating, where guests can unwind and stargaze at night. The cottage boasts a wood-fired hot tub, where guests can enjoy the soft crackle of a fire and the comfort of naturally heated water. During hot summer days, the tub is ideal for cooling off.
