Description

The Ostrich Barons Palace is situated on a working ostrich farm between Oudtshoorn and De Rust on the N2 and offers a unique Klein Karoo experience.

Accommodation is provided in bed and breakfast accommodation in one of the palace’s 7 en-suite rooms or in one of the 3 smaller self-catering cottages, each accommodating up to 4 guests. These 3 units together are also ideal for a group of up to 12 guests. The 2 spacious self-catering farmhouses are ideal for groups of 10 to 11 guests who prefer more space. The self-catering houses feature open-plan living areas and are fully equipped. Secure parking is provided for all guests.

On the farm, guests can go for long scenic walks, do bird watching, or simply relax on the veranda with a book and a cup of coffee, or ride a bike on any of the many routes nearby.

Nearby activities include bird watching, fishing in the river, great eateries in town, and wine tastings, which can be arranged upon request.
