Description
Kagga Kamma Eco Lodge & Spa is situated in the Cederberg region and is known for its dramatic rock formations and natural surroundings. The lodge offers a unique retreat where guests are accommodated in Cave Suites, thatched Hut Suites, or self-catering units, catering to different travel preferences.
The Cave Suites are built to blend with the natural sandstone formations. Each suite features a man-made façade, while the rear wall consists of natural rock. The suites are furnished with a double bed, have an en-suite bathroom, and open onto a small terrace with views of the surrounding landscape. These units provide an immersive stay within the rock formations.
The thatched Hut Suites are inspired by traditional San dwellings and can accommodate up to 2 adults and 2 children, making them suitable for small families. These suites are spacious and designed to reflect the natural environment of the reserve.
Self-catering units are also available and are equipped for guests who prefer to prepare their own meals. These units are suitable for families or groups. Please note that meals are not included; however, guests may make use of the lodge restaurant. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with outdoor dining available at the boma. Wi-Fi is available in public areas only.
The lodge is located within a culturally rich environment featuring ancient rock art sites, unique flora and fauna, and clear night skies ideal for stargazing. Guests are able to explore the reserve through guided open 4x4 excursions, hiking trails, mountain biking routes, and nature walks, with opportunities to view wildlife such as springbok, zebra, and eland. Additional activities include stargazing tours, Rock Art tours, quad biking excursions, and sunset sundowner drives.
