Home from home. Karoo Nights is beautiful and felt like a home from home. The environment is scenic and tranquil. WiFi is not great, but having a break from social media and tech is also welcome. The Karoo lamb chops served for dinner were delicious.

Our favourite overnight stop when traveling between Gauteng and the coast. We stayed in Cottage #3. Very comfortable and peaceful stay. The cottage was well equipped with a small bar fridge which worked very well. Nice hot showers/bath.

Would book again. Historical interest, food was truly good home cooking, fantastic with a cinnamon loaf, a very special treat. Bar prices are great, but need more stock and a bit more options at the bar. Short to medium term suggestions: Room needs tidying up. Inform guests that the air conditioning only works when on generator; fans work. It's probably time to look at a facelift without spending too much, keeping the original charm and furniture. For example, fresh paint indoors, neutral curtains. Swing for kids' play area close to the main house. Create a view deck for sunset beach as they call it; fantastic view neglected can be such a great place to offer sundowners. Yes, nice time for a stopover, have a rest with a friendly and helpful team in general. Would consider Karoo Nights in the future as a rest place on route from Johannesburg to PE or back.
