Hi Amanda. Thank you for your wonderful review. The mosquitos are a problem this time of year due to the heat and being so close to the river. There are citronella oil lamps in the cupboard. Relaxing, inviting, convenient, stunning views. We had a truly wonderful stay thanks to our warm and accommodating host and a clean apartment. The apartment had a serene view of the lake, there is a bench to sit under a tree overlooking the lake and the whole neighbourhood was absolutely quiet, making it a perfect retreat. With easy access to a jetty, nearby restaurants and a short drive to the shops, harbour and ocean, our short getaway was both convenient and thoroughly enjoyable. We will for sure return.

Hi Christiaan. Thank you for your review. Kingfisher Heads is an older building situated on the well-known historical Bokkomlaan, a riverfront heritage site which makes the accommodation so special. Some of the buildings date back to the 1700s, a unique part of the West Coast rich in history. Previous guests have thoroughly enjoyed their stay, and many return. Pragtige en rustige plek om net te gaan ontspan. Wow! Wat 'n pragtige plekkie by die rivier om te ontspan. Ons het 'n baie lekker tyd gehad, die huis en uitsig is pragtig. Ons tydjie was net te kort, maar ons beplan om weer terug te keer. Lindi en haar man wat ons ontvang het, was wonderlik en so vriendelik. Was so behulpsaam en ons goed ingelig oor haar plek.

Safe beautiful quiet stay. We loved the fact that the place was quiet and safe. We had some WiFi issues due to the weather and unforeseen problems, but otherwise it was a wonderful stay.

4dae se weskus rus en vrede gehad = sielsverrykend. My batterye is weer herlaai. Heerlik! 'n baie netjiese en goed toegeruste troeteldiervriendelike 2-slaapkamer/2 ensuite woonstel op grondvloer met perfekte uitsig op die bergrivier - stapafstand van Bokkomlaan se Columbine koffie en vars gebak. Velddrif is lekker sentraal = dagritte na Paternoster, Dwaskersbosstrand, St Helena Baai en Stompneusbaai kon ons inpas vir rondloer. Lynn was oneindig gaaf.
