Location was perfect to explore the reserve. Perfect location to enter the reserve on the west side, shady smallish sites. We arrived late, so couldn't use the solar shower, but we enjoyed overnighting. The monkeys came through in the morning, so be warned, don't leave anything out.

Wonderful place surrounded by the beauty of nature. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, peaceful setting and would love to come back. Highly recommended.

Lovely stop over. Lovely little campsite. Close to the reserve gate. Perfect for a stop over before or after entering the wilderness. Nice outside nature showers, only cold water, and watch out for the monkeys.

Good day! Thank you for your lovely review. Our showers are solar-heated, so they’re warm when there’s good sunshine — it may have been early morning or a cloudy time during your stay. Wishing you safe and happy travels.

Enjoyable. The stay was comfortable. For wild camping, the facilities were more than sufficient. Nice grass and shade. Toilets and showers were clean. There were too many pipes lying around that I had to move so as not to damage them with my vehicle.

Gepaste oornag stop as jy oppad is na die Baviaanskloof Natuurreservaat. Kamp was gerieflik, spoeltoilette was netjies. Die swembad was ongelukkig baie slymerig en die water was nie skoon nie.

Rustig, stilte en afsondering was spesiaal. Die rustigheid, stilte en afgesonderheid is heerlik. Ons sal liewer meer betaal om 'n skoon wasbak en toilet te kry. Die klein swembad se water was groen. Ons sou graag wou afkoel in die 37 grade.

Thank you for the review note. Very helpful. We have thought of closing the open cave rock showers and basins to keep the monkeys out. That would change the wild, romantic natural bush experience we want and hide the stars. We are a bush camp. We are in a severe drought at the moment; the animals are looking for water. They have actually worked out how to open the basin taps and play in the basins. We can’t tell when that will happen. We clean the place almost daily. The pool was clearly not cleaned that week as it always gets done. We will address that with the team. We are actually going to change the name of our pool to “Farm pond” or “Plaas dam”. The water comes fresh from the Kloof. We only scrub it once in a while. The frogs love to play in it. So clean is the water. It is not really a swimming pool as such. Hope you find better value elsewhere. Sorry we didn’t meet your expectations. We can refund you if you are very unhappy.
