Landliebe Farm Cottage – the perfect getaway for families with little explorers. We were warmly welcomed by Gail and her team, and Gail truly stood out as an exceptional host! Our family will definitely be returning. If your children are little adventurers, this is the perfect getaway. The thoughtful touch of fresh farm produce as a welcome gift set the tone for a wonderful weekend. It’s also pet-friendly, which is a big plus for families who love to bring their dogs along. My kids adored Gail’s farm dogs, Gigi and Tag! The cottages are well-equipped—you only need to bring swimming towels and food for your stay. The children loved interacting with the animals, while my husband and son enjoyed the hike to the waterfall. The pool was a highlight on hot days, especially for my son who couldn’t get enough of it. Each room is fitted with a fan, making nights comfortable even in the summer heat. Relaxing break in the Boland close to wine farms and nature. We had a lovely stay at Landliebe, a good break from the city. It was great to have the pool and walks to the waterfall in summer to cool down, and the house was not too hot inside during the day. Gail is a lovely host.

Dit was ongelooflik lekker! Ons het 'n ongelooflike tyd gehad, en sal beslis weer gaan! Die gasheer se gasvryheid was tops! Die kinders het die diere baie geniet asook die swembad. Ons kon lekker oor en weer kuier tussen die huisies (ek sal net voorstel dat daar ligte gesit word met die paadjie tussen 2 huise), maar ons het die tyd daar baie geniet!

Challenging. Landliebe Cottages are well situated, and the swimming pool was wonderful in the heat. We encountered significant issues, which were not resolved in a satisfactory manner, and we ended up having to leave halfway through our stay, but the website and the owner have assured us that they will be resolved for any guest that follows.

Uitstekend. Ons is plaasbewoners en wanneer ons wel bietjie wegkom, verkies ons die plaasverblyf, veral indien dit nie te ver van die dorp is nie. In hierdie geval was dit so lekker om letterlik op die drumpel van die dorp te bly, maar wel totaal in die berg was.

N Heerlike rustige wegbreek op n pragtige plaas. Dit is 'n pragtige plaas, die natuurskoon is ongelooflik. Daar is baie stapgeleenthede en ons het die voëls en plaasdiere baie geniet. Die Cottage waarin ons gebly het, was presies soos geadverteer, dit was netjies, skoon, baie gemaklik en al die geriewe was in werkende toestand. Die gasvrou was baie vriendelik en behulpsaam. Ons het heerlik daar gebly en sal vir seker weer teruggaan.

Wonderful break to nature. Ten minutes from Tulbagh, the two cottages are set close to the mountains, surrounded by nature with easy access to beautiful hiking trails. Perfect getaway from the city. Gail is a generous and wonderful host, very accommodating and helpful.

A restful place that we’d love to return to. We had such a wonderful, peaceful holiday at Landliebe Farm. It’s the perfect spot if you’re looking for a break in nature — and it’s pet-friendly, which made it even more special for us. The property is fully fenced, so we could relax knowing our dog was safe and free to explore in the big garden. The farm setting is idyllic. It was such a treat to watch the goats, sheep, horses, cows, ducks, and chickens move about. The house itself is well-equipped and comfortable, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. There are lovely hiking and trail running routes perfect for exploring the area and soaking in the fresh farm air. A truly special, restful place that we’d love to return to. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to unwind, reconnect with nature, and bring their pets along.

Hidden gem with great trails for walking! It was great - relaxing, breathtaking, with special tours from the owner. We received milk and eggs straight from the farm and enjoyed a braai as the sun set. What a getaway!
