Rustig en fantasties. Dit is baie netjies en mense is baie vriendelik. Die hiking roetes is fantasties en het ons die bosveld terdee geniet.

Rustic, peaceful and friendly people. Very rustic but relatively clean. Truly animal friendly - we travelled with our 3-year-old golden retriever. Dogs must be on a leash at all times due to wild animals. Spotted zebras and other small bucks. Bring your own supplies - only a microwave and fridge are provided with basic eating utensils. Peaceful, with no distractions from the outside world. Bring board games, have great conversations and refresh, reflect and reconnect.

I really enjoyed my stay. It is very quiet when you want to move away from city life. Good location and the manager is friendly and welcoming. I really enjoyed my stay.

Great stay but not worth the price paid. We stayed at Ma Tala Tala Wildlife Reserve this weekend in the suite. The staff were very friendly, but the accommodation was not worth the amount we paid. We were given keys to an extra room in case it rained because the suite leaks when it rains. Luckily it did not rain, but the other unit had a very damp, mouldy smell. The place was not as advertised. It was not terrible, but it was nowhere near worth the price. There were rat droppings in the bed. Because of this, we slept under our own blankets on top of the bedding. There was no DStv or fan, both of which were advertised. The stairs to the suite are extremely steep. While this cannot be changed, it is worth mentioning. The hiking trail was lovely but needs maintenance. The room itself needs serious upgrading and maintenance for the price being charged. The bathroom was clean, but there were spider webs and dust throughout the room. The suite is linked to the main house, so we could hear everything happening downstairs. This made us constantly worried about disturbing the hosts, which affected our ability to relax. Overall, this stay was not worth R1650, even after a discount. The pricing does not match the condition or experience.

Average. Could be better. Braai area very far from rooms, no 2 point/multiplugs, self-drive prices very high. We didn't know where anything was as nothing was shown to us.

Good day Hadley, Thank you for your review. Reviews always help us improve the lodge for a more comfortable stay. However, you were in Chalet 10, which is not even 20m from a braai area and 50m from the pool with more braai areas. The braai area cannot be outside the chalets as the lodge is thatched and can burn down with a little spark from a braai. A multiplug is not kept in the chalets as they get stolen by guests, but a plug was given to you when you asked. And why do you need to be shown around when you were right by the pool and braai areas? There is nothing more to show you. Game drives are a very reasonable price, but if only two people want a game drive, it is a bit more expensive as costs have to cover time and petrol. With petrol prices rising, unfortunately, the game drive prices also go up. Thank you once again for the review and we trust you understand our responses. Warm regards
