Meijer's Rust Campsites is situated on a working farm in the heart of stunning Meiringspoort, just outside the beautiful village of De Rust. This is the ideal destination for guests seeking a peaceful getaway.
Enjoy camping and hiking high up in the Swartberg Mountains, surrounded by fynbos and waterfalls. Meijer's Rust is a pet-friendly establishment, and guests are welcome to bring their furry family members with them. There is a rustic farm dam ‘pool’ that can be used when it is full, which is usually after rainfall.
The campsites are at the bottom of the farm, bordering the N12. The site offers spectacular views of the Swartberg Mountains and Meiringspoort. The campsite is accessible by regular vehicles. It has a shared ablution facility with showers, toilets, and washbasins. Hot water is provided by a gas geyser. There is also a wash-up area for dishes. Each site has a light, a power point, and a braai pit.
At Meijer's Rust, guests will find night skies that are an astronomer’s dream, abundant birdlife, and numerous walking trails. In addition to being an active farm where children can return to nature, Meijer's Rust is also a convenient base from which to explore the many other fantastic attractions located within the region.
