Description
Oppi Plaas is a true bush camp near the city. It is not a caravan park or holiday resort.
Oppi Plaas is the ideal destination for the self-catering camper. It is located on a private farm, surrounded by a Big 5 game reserve, 60 km north of Pretoria in a beautiful bushveld area. Oppi Plaas serves as a convenient base from which the Dinokeng Game Reserve can be explored.
The bush camps are only suitable for fully equipped self-catering bush wagons, bush caravans, or tents. Guests must be able to camp self-sufficiently in order to minimise the impact on the ecosystem.
There are six quiet bush campsites. There is no electricity, toilets, dishwashing, or shower facilities at the campsites themselves. Generators are not permitted due to noise restrictions. Each site has a fire pit and a braai. Each camp has borehole water suitable for human use.
Guests must be able to provide their own power, shower, and ablution facilities.
There is also a shared area with flush toilets approximately 300 m from the campsites.
The farm is fully fenced with electric fencing, and guests have access to 20 hectares for walking, jogging, and cycling.
This makes it safe for children as well.
Summers are very hot, and winters are mild during the day.
